AI Direct Drive™ — How It Works
TurboWash 3D — Powerful Clean in 39 Minutes
20kg Capacity — Large Load Advantage
01
AI DD technology senses the weight and softness of each load, then automatically selects the optimal wash motion — protecting delicate fabrics while delivering thorough cleaning. The washer gets smarter with every cycle, providing up to 24% more fabric protection vs. standard cycles.
02
This washer balances vibration and spin speed with 4 vertical dampers, 2 horizontal dampers and 1 vibration sensor — delivering quieter, more stable operation during every cycle so laundry day never disrupts the rest of your home.
03
TurboWash 3D combines Wave Force, TurboDrum™ and Jet Spray to deliver a powerful full wash cycle in just 39 minutes — without compromising on cleaning performance.
04
Wave Force creates a powerful surging water movement that penetrates deep into fabrics, generating intensive turbulence to dislodge stubborn stains and lift dirt from fibres more effectively with every wash.
05
The pulsator and drum rotate in opposite directions, generating stronger water currents that penetrate fabrics deeply and clean more thoroughly — ensuring every garment gets a powerful, consistent wash.
06
The water jet aids quick and effective rinsing, ensuring detergent is thoroughly flushed from every fibre so your laundry comes out truly clean and residue-free after every cycle.
07
Six distinct washing motions — Agitating, Swing, Rotating, Rubbing, Power and Compressing — powered by the Inverter Direct Drive Motor™ create 6 optimised cycles that adapt to each fabric type for the most effective care.
08
A massive 20kg drum comfortably handles large family loads, bulky bedding, curtains and oversized items. Fewer wash cycles mean lower energy consumption and greater convenience for large households.
09
A larger lint filter keeps your laundry and drum cleaner as dust and dirt come off your clothes during the wash, reducing residue build-up and maintaining drum hygiene over time. The full stainless steel interior adds lasting durability and hygiene.
10
Scent+ technology works the fabric softener deeper into laundry fibres during the wash cycle, so your clothes stay fresher and smell better for longer after every wash.
11
Control and monitor wash cycles remotely with the LG ThinQ™ app. Start, pause and schedule laundry from anywhere, receive cycle completion alerts, download new wash programmes and monitor energy usage in real time. Compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
12
The motor connects directly to the drum without belts or pulleys, reducing friction and mechanical noise for quieter operation and improved energy efficiency — protected by LG's 10-year motor warranty.
